Hello
I'm an economist with a scientific mind.
My name is Julian Worley, and I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Galway. I completed my PhD and master's degree in the department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia. Thanks to my Animal and Poultry Science degree from Virginia Tech, I have significant hard sciences experience as well as economic training. I often approach research questions with a unique interdisciplinary perspective.
My research interests include a wide range of topics from the impact of climate change on food production to the influence of risk behavior on industry organization. Generally, I am interested in research that helps feed people good food without bankrupting the environment or those involved in the food system.
I enjoy working and teaching both in the classroom and out in the public.
Nice to meet you!
